Meet the Watchtower, one of our best selling backpacks and a perfect combination of functionality, style, and versatility. This pack has it all—a rugged look, lots of pockets, and smart features that are as practical on a trail as they are on an urban adventure. We’re into Diamond Ripstop for a few reasons: classic grey gets a splash of color and style in the detailing, plus that cool micro-pattern makes this fabric interesting and incredibly durable.
Why We Love It
This backpack looks as great as it performs. And it really performs. It has one large main compartment with a big opening on top so it’s easy to see and access what’s inside. A versatile padded sleeve holds either a 3 liter hydration system or a 15-inch laptop computer. There’s a soft tricot-lined pocket to protect a tablet, plus a deluxe organizer with padded phone holder and custom carabiner key clip. Ergonomic S-curve padded shoulder straps and adjustable sternum strap make this backpack comfortable, even for the long haul. Adjustable webbing side compression straps keep your pack looking sharp and give you places to stow a sweatshirt or down sweater. Many exterior pockets translate to tons options for smaller items: two front gear pockets, a side zippered stash pocket, two side water-bottle pockets, a quick-access, zippered pocket on top. And—quite possible the best feature of all—an insulated cooler compartment to keep whatever you’re drinking cold no matter how far you go from the fridge. The Watchtower is intelligent its design and stylish in its details like that bright neon yellow web haul handle and zipper trim and the faux leather trim. (No faux trims were harmed in the making of this pack.)
