JanSport Announces its First Annual Bonfire Sessions
Featuring Special Guest Artist, The Cave Singers
An outdoor celebration set in the middle of nature at a secret location in Seattle, WA
San Leandro, Calif., (Aug 16, 2010) - JanSport®, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today announced its first annual Bonfire Sessions featuring special guest artist, The Cave Singers, performing at a secret location in Seattle, WA.
Returning to its Seattle birthplace, JanSport is excited to convene music fans with the outdoors for this once-in-a-lifetime campfire concert set under the stars on Saturday evening, August 28, 2010. Seattle indie-folk group, The Cave Singers (www.myspace.com/thecavesingers) will perform, showcasing their soulful, deeply affecting sound, with rich country-blues guitar riffs, lo-fi percussion and never-before-performed surprises for their special guests at this inaugural JanSport event.
"We wanted to create a unique and memorable event that embodies who JanSport is as a brand: the intersection between youth culture and the outdoors," said Courtney Blacker, JanSport Brand Director. "The Bonfire Sessions was born directly out of that intersection, with great live music, weenies to roast, beer to drink and an unforgettable setting in the woods. We hope to make this an annual event with potential to execute in multiple cities."
Beginning at 5:30 pm on the eve of the show, JanSport will transport party-goers to the event in style from one undisclosed Seattle bus stop and back. For exact pick-up location, fans are invited to visit JanSport's music blog, Unzipped (www.jansport.com/unzipped) on August 25, when the Seattle bus stop will be revealed.
