JanSport® Unveils its New Cloud Ripper Series
Four new innovative technical packs, engineered to satisfy every type of backcountry adventure
San Leandro, Calif., (January 20, 2011) - JanSport, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today unveiled four new packs in its Cloud Ripper Series, launching Spring 2011. Whether it's trail running in So Cal, sport climbing at Red River Gorge, bagging a fourteener in the Rockies or earning your turns in the Sierra spring corn patch, JanSport's four new Cloud Ripper packs are engineered for multiday backcountry expeditions.
Above and beyond the smart styling of the new Cloud Ripper Series, JanSport integrates the innovative Arch RivalTM system into the four new pack designs. Starting with the packs' frame, these bags deliver optimal weight-transfer and load-carrying comfort thanks to the innovative design of their external perimeter tubing system. The unique shape of the Arch Rival frame provides flexibility through the side and top of the pack while its lightweight, strong frame offers long-lasting durability. Additionally, the Series' new easy to adjust back panel allows for quick, on the fly, suspension adjustments in three short steps: unclip, line up and secure for the perfect pack fit.
Building on the current collection of Cloud Ripper Series packs launched March 2010, otherwise known as the Mazama, Salish, Talus and Catalyst, JanSport's four fresh February 2011 additions include:
Tehipite
Built for shorter backcountry adventures, the Tehipite is lightweight, durable and ready for the trail. A fully padded, ventilated back panel with a quick access hydration compartment keeps you comfortable and hydrated all day. The Versa-WingTM pocket system, front pockets and multiple lashing points keep your gear organized and easy to access.
Forsyth
Engineered for backcountry adventures, the Forsyth's large capacity, five pockets, and multiple attachment points can easily hold all the gear you need. The lightweight Arch RivalTM suspension system holds everything in balance to keep the load stable as you move.
Eichorn
The Eichorn is engineered for winter alpine performance. Large enough for trans Sierra skiing and light enough for a week long backpacking trip in the summer. The Eichorn's roll top entry, water resistant zippers, and TPE face are designed to protect your gear from the elements.
Versteeg
A versatile, lightweight, multiday pack, the new Versteeg is perfect for a week of backpacking in the Rockies. The Arch Rival perimeter tubing offers an easy to adjust frame system for the perfect fit. Loads of gear storage with removable hood and side pockets allow great packing versatility, so you can go for miles.
