JanSport® Celebrates the Holidays at Barneys New York
JanSport launches its Carbon Collection, available exclusively at Barneys New York

San Leandro, Calif., (November 7, 2011) - JanSport®, the original outdoor gear Brand that equips people globally with quality backpacks, travel gear and collegiate apparel, today announced the launch of its Carbon Collection, available exclusively at Barneys New York. Inspired by Manhattan, this sleek and sophisticated collection is comprised of four all black leather and canvas bags and one envelope tablet case, created for the urban consumer.

Taking cues from its own designs dating back to the late 60s, JanSport collaborates with Barneys to create the perfect collection of bags to update your wardrobe this holiday season. Both modern and classic, the Carbon Collection takes the rugged outdoors and brings it home to the city. The metal zippers, nylon seatbelt webbing and all black metal logo give the packs a sleek, sophisticated urban makeover. Representative of Manhattan residents, the Carbon Collection features rich, dark fabrics in soft leather and smooth canvas.

Thompkins
The ultimate all leather backpack. Constructed from full grain leather in black with gray plaid wool lining, the Thompkins' design was inspired by the outdoors and upgraded for the urban consumer. Features include a padded laptop sleeve, an iPad pocket, two side pockets, and another three pockets on the front to keep essentials handy. The backpack comes complete with an all-black metal logo, solid metal zippers, and large leather pulls.

Hylan
Sleek and sophisticated, the Hylan is constructed from a waxed cotton twill fabric in black. Inside the streamlined design, the Hylan carries quite a load, accessed via top-load or side zipper. The pack also boasts an abundance of pockets, a large organizer and a vertical stash sleeve. Additional features include versatile side drop zones and an easyaccess electronics pocket.

Hoss: Carbon
A 60s original, the Hoss was introduced by JanSport to carry your stuff on the go. With the launch of the Carbon Collection, this classic pack gets an urban update with waxed cotton twill fabric in black and new black metal logo. The Hoss: Carbon pack features a secure zippered main compartment and a leather bottom for durability.

Ski & Hike: Carbon
JanSport's classic Ski & Hike pack, updated with a new all black metal logo and waxed cotton twill fabric in black. Simple in design, this pack features one main compartment and one front pocket for easy access to your accessories.

Bruckner Tablet Case
Whether you have an iPad, Kindle or Nook, the Bruckner Tablet Case is the perfect solution for carrying and protecting your tablet when you're on the go.
