At first I thought this was simply the same pack JanSport has been making for years, but then I read further and realized that they must've taken their old bag and modernized the features. Now it will carry both my laptop and iPad! Even better that it doesn't look like an old man's pack from the office store. They even beefed up the shoulder straps when you compare them to the original. Nice touch.

Use it on a daily basis for college. Full time biology student so books binders laptop and iPad with charger are always with me. Bag allows me to pack it all

For as much as this back pack costs you would think they would use actual fabric not cheap mainly plastic looking leather for the body.It is extremely cheap in quality.It arrived looking worn down just from the plastic edges being bent.I have been loyal to jansport for years and bought my last few backpacks from them and loved the quality.I am rather disappointed and expected better from this jansport backpack.

I have been in search for a good quality backpack for quite some time now. I didn't want to spend a ton of money either. My primary purpose of the backpack was to carry heavy books on a daily basis so durability was a major factor for me. This bag was everything I hoped for! Actually, it was much better than what I expected when I received it. Excellent quality...especially for the price. Other comparable backpacks run close to $100+. Very stylish and has pockets conveniently located internally and externally. I would definitely buy again if needed (I doubt I would need to). If you are considering it, buy it! You will have no regrets.

My daughter loves the space to hold her ipad. The backpack is the perfect size. The only thing missing is a mesh pocket to hold

This review may sound too good to be true but experience will show you it isn't. Really surprised with the lack of reviews on here at the time of writing compared to some other selections, because this is literally the best backpack ever. Somehat larger than a daypack but much more practical than a larger pack, this is perfect for school, long travel trips, and going out and adventuring.

I was pretty pleased to discover I was able to fit much more into it than I thought, just to give an example: my 15" laptop (which fits snugly and securely into the sleeve), a laptop cooling pad, two small journals, some folders and small stack of papers, a Knotty towel, a sweater, a purse full of stuff, and many miscellaneous items in the front two pockets. While I don't have a tablet, the dedicated tablet sleeve in front of the laptop sleeve worked perfect for storing journals or a notebook. The larger front pocket has two small square compartments for an iPod and phone, one pocket is zip mesh and the other simply features the blue liner. Next to both is a pen/pencil holder which really finishes it off.

Trust me when I say this, the liner totally gives it that extra edge over every other Jansport backpack. It's just got a really cool look and feel to it; I personally got the "Midnight Sky Diamond Ripstop" and the blue on blue compliments insanely well. On that note, the material on the particular pack feels incredibly durable, especially with the diamond texture. I know that it would be next to impossible to tear it even if you tried. Additionally, the suede bottom and zip pulls are seriously improved from previous runs, and extremely durable as well. Many had said their suede would give out on them, but I can tell this isn't going to happen here.

It was pretty tough for me to decide on getting another backpack as I had used the elusive Jansport "Slacker" backpack for a good 4 years, and never thought I'd find something quite as cool, but here it is. Ditch your old pack and get this one, you won't be sorry.

I recently purchased the Houndstooth and received more complements on it than I can recall. I work in a business casual atmosphere and constantly get asked what bag it is. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my brother as a birthday gift since the inside liner is a map of Seattle, where he used to live.

This backpack is useful when you need to carry more than your smartphone for your trip. The Cordura shell is puncture resistant. Took backpack to Seattle for a concert and all of the items in the bag stayed dry. Only thing this bag cannot do is protect your items from RF tampering but a lining for that would put it out of a reasonable price range for the average consumer.

This backpack was excatly what my grandson was looking for. he is a senior this year and did not want one of those big bulky ones. this one is plenty big enough and with it being the digital edition makes it even more awesome. love the color.
