My mom bought my Navy blue Jansport in 1997 when I was in 7th grade, we were very poor and I convinced her it was all I wanted that year for school, no new cloths, just that bag. My mom has since passed away and the bag is just now ripped in the outside pocker from me putting 2 water bottles in it and riding miles in the snow, rain, and wind. I am having it sown up and saving this back in a frame as a keepsake, because I have nothing else my mother gave me today except this bag. I am buying a new one to use for my last year in grad school. I was homeless with this bag, I went through middle school, high school, and 5 years of college with this bag, Thank you Jansport for making quality bags!

My parents purchased a jansport for me back in middle school, 15 years ago. The zipper finally broke about 2 years ago, I still used it, then a hole developed last year and I thought to send it in. My wife laughed at me, thinking it wasn't worth it... But it was! Jansport has the best customer service, they sent me an email after they received and logged in my pack. Then I called them today and the rep ordered my brand new Right Pack which is comparable to my old pack. All in all, process will take about 3 weeks during the summer. Extremely happy. I'll only buy Jansports now. Thanks!

This is a superb backpack! I ordered it in Navy. Haven't had it for very long but it has already exceeded my expectations.
First of all, it is made with the best possible quality in mind. Because I am a high school student with a heavy load to tote around, I wanted something sturdy, large and well-made. It has been all of these things for me. I've stuffed every one of my books and binders into it and the seams hold up great.
Next, it is quite stylish. I was hesitant about getting the blue at first because I was afraid under certain light it may look too much like royal/electric blue, and I really can't stand that color. Well I was very happy to find, upon opening the package, that the Navy is truly Navy and a very pleasant hue. Plus, the suede leather bottom is so unique and cool. I like how the zipper pulls coordinate.
Finally, it arrived very promptly through ground shipping. Although I am sometimes a harsh critic, this bag deserves 10 stars. A great buy!!!

This is the 3rd of this type of backpack (canvas with leather) that I have purchased for my high school sons. The pack is stylish and in the past the wear and tear has been about as expected. With the last purchase however, one of the straps is coming un-sewn at the top and I will have to replace it before the school year is over :(

Hassle as I use it most days.
Extremely disappointed, absolutely love the bag- can't believe it's broken so soon

My parents bought me this bookbag for high school around 2001. I've used it for high school, 4 years of college, been Europe 4 times with this book bag (London, Dublin, Lisbon, hiking in sintra, Madrid, venice, rome, mt Vesuvius, romeo and juliets balcony in Verona), been to Miami (covered in sand from south beach), vegas 4 times(used it for our day trip to the grand canyon and is big enough for clubbing dress shoes, slacks, button down that may need to be ironed, and fresh undies), LA (used it for several hikes), SF (took it on the boat ride under the golden gate bridge), Hawaii (wore this thing hiking in Oahu), NYC (sitting on dirty the subway floor), myrtle beach (twice), Denver (took it up in the mountains). I took it on the maid of the mist under Niagara falls. This bag has been to Jerusalem and the West Bank. I let my brother borrow this bag for computer parts. I had this bag with me when I worked out of town and I had to take work supplies with me. I've been using this book bag for night school as I get my masters. I packed my son's night time outfits in it a couple times for sleep overs at grandma's. This bag has been beat up, soaked with milk and pepsi and red pen ink, survived food crumbs, survived my dog chewing on it, survived months of being in the bottom of my closet with dust, this bag has come along with me while ive moved to different homes a few times. I had my 85 year old grandma sew up a small tear in the bottom leather 5 years ago & I've had to cut a couple stray strings off a couple times - BUT THIS BAG IS THE MOST BESTEST OF THE BESTEST BACKPACKS EVER(yes that ain't proper English but its true)

Here I am once again posting another comment. So before I never bought anything jansport but now I have. I got the berrylicious purple. And it is amazing! I was blown away with the color when I opened the box. The straps are comfortable. The bag is definitely big enough to hold everything. The color is just so perfect for me not to dark but not to light where I have to worry about setting it down on the floor or ground and looking dirty. The leather bottom is terrific even though it isn't water proof. I live in Florida and its hurricane season but I still love the unique design it gives the bag. Not to many pockets so I never loose anything in my bag which is great for me I've done the over the top big bags with a ton of pockets and I could never find anything. The laptop sleeve is helpful I still have a case over my ipad mini for extra protection. Great bag for college! It arrived on time in exactly 7 days. Even though there are not any water holders on the sides it's be enough on the inside. Pictures do not give the berrylicious purple right pack justice at all. I would definitely buy jansport right packs again. I travel worldwide so it's great to take along since its light on my back. BUY this bag trust me it is beautiful. I plan on buying another but in aqua dash.

So I've been wanting this backpack in navy for a while for high school. My sister got it 2 years ago and she loves it! Almost all the girls in my school have Jansports, but I didn't care for "being in style." I just really liked it and my dad had wanted me to get one since day one. He had one when he was in college and thought it was perfect for everything, and even better because of the warranty. My sister's bag is ripped on one of the straps, but knowing we can always resort to the warranty is always helpful! Overall, I've had my bag for 2 or 3 weeks as a freshman and absolutely love it! Definitely will get another Right Pack or other Jansport because I've fallen in love with it, and the warranty makes it 10xs better!
