JanSport engineers quality, durability, and reliable products. So, if your pack ever breaks down, simply return it to our warranty center. We'll fix it or if we can't, we'll replace it. We stand by our packs for a lifetime and since we've been making packs since 1967, that's a guarantee you can stand by.

5 Year Limited Warranty

JanSport coolers are covered by a five-year limited warranty that protects the original owner against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Limitations apply. For details of the warranty policy, please visit our website at

How to Start a Warranty Claim

Simply fill out our Warranty Return Form completely and include a copy when you ship the item to the address shown on the form. Products repaired or replaced under warranty will be shipped back to you free of charge.


General Exclusions

JanSport warranties only apply to JanSport products purchased from authorized dealers. All warranties do not apply to any non-JanSport products like a device, even if packaged or sold with the JanSport product, or property carried in or on a JanSport product. JanSport is not responsible for direct, incidental or consequential damages for any reason including damage resulting from a breach of a warranty or condition such as scratches in a device surface, lost data or destroyed personal property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.

Limited Edition & Special Collection Bags and Backpacks

Bags from limited editions and special collections that cannot be repaired can only be replaced with bags from that same collection, if inventory permits. Bags that are not part of a limited edition or special collection cannot be replaced by a bag that is.


There is no warranty for any apparel including collegiate apparel.
