All Roads Lead to Austin: Our Girl

Our Girl have been wowing a growing army of listeners ever since their debut gig supporting Honeyblood in September 2015. It was during that fledging performance that singer/guitarist Soph Nathan realised that, of the five bands she was then playing in, Our Girl was the perfect home for her redoubtable songwriting.

Our Girl have been building up a head of steam that has seen them singled out by Lauren Laverne for special attention on BBC 6 Music, with the eponymous track 'Our Girl' selected for the DJ's MpFree feature. Soph Nathan, bassist Josh Tyler and drummer Lauren Wilson have been developing their sound ever since. Their first release, ‘Sleeper’ released on Cannibal Hymns received critical acclaim and national radio play on Radio 1, XFM and Amazing Radio. The trio released the follow up to ‘Sleeper’ last autumn with a four track EP titled ‘Normally’ that only enhanced their reputation as a formidable recording act.

In September 2017 they recorded their debut album in Manchester, England with Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral). With an artillery of new material and a producer who perfectly fits the bands dynamic, the first record from Our Girl is set to be a truly special showcase of one of the finest songwriters in a generation. Soph Nathan and Our Girl are ready to step into their moment.
